You can use everything on SudokuPrintable.com without creating an account or telling us who you are. We built the site that way on purpose. This page explains, in plain language, the small amount of data involved in running the site and what happens to it.
The short version
- No account or signup is needed for anything on the site.
- We use Google Analytics and Umami to count page and button usage.
- Google Analytics may set analytics cookies; Umami does not use cookies.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs to run and protect the site.
- We only receive your email address if you choose to send it to us.
- We do not sell personal information.
What we collect and why
Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics and Umami to understand page views and important actions such as PDF generation, generator option changes, difficulty-card clicks, newsletter form submissions, and Sudoku solver actions. These events help us see which puzzles and features people find useful.
Analytics cookies and identifiers. Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies and receive technical details from your browser to measure sessions, page views, bounce rate, and events. Umami is configured with our analytics server and does not use cookies. We do not use analytics data to identify you personally.
Server and security logs. Like almost every website, requests to the site pass through our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which processes technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested in order to deliver pages and block abuse. We also use your IP address, briefly and in memory only, to limit how many PDFs a single connection can generate per minute. We do not build profiles from this information.
PDF generation. When you generate a printable PDF, we record only the options chosen, such as difficulty, paper size, and puzzles per page. The PDFs contain puzzles and nothing else; no personal information or user-supplied text is embedded in them.
Email. If you contact us or ask to receive puzzle updates, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply or to send you what you asked for.
What we do not do
- We do not require accounts, passwords, or profiles.
- We do not use analytics for advertising retargeting.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the site works without providing any.
Embedded content and outside links
Our how-to-play guide includes one video hosted with YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed, which is designed not to set tracking cookies until you press play. If you play the video, Google's own privacy policy applies to that interaction.
Some pages link to other websites, such as puzzle organizations. Once you leave SudokuPrintable.com, the destination site's privacy practices apply, and we encourage you to review them.
Advertising
The site currently shows no third-party advertising. If we ever add ads, we will update this policy first and describe exactly which providers are involved and what they collect.
Data retention
Operational logs are short-lived and used only to keep the site running, diagnose errors, and stop abuse. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, and we will delete them if you ask.
Your rights and choices
Because we hold almost no personal data, exercising your rights is simple. If you have emailed us, you can ask what we have, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR (Europe) or CCPA (California) may give you these rights formally; we honor them for everyone regardless of location.

Children's privacy
SudokuPrintable.com is a general-audience site that is often used in classrooms and by families. Because no account exists and no personal information is required to use any feature, children can use the puzzles without providing any data about themselves. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Significant changes, such as adding advertising, will be reflected here before they take effect.
